Open Access and License Terms

TATEFL provides immediate open access to its published articles to support the free dissemination of scholarly knowledge. Unless otherwise indicated, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits users to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the published material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that the license conditions are followed.

Under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, users must comply with the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit to the original author or authors, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes have been made. Attribution must not suggest that the authors or TATEFL endorse the reuse.
  • ShareAlike: If users remix, transform, or build upon the published material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license or a compatible license as permitted by CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • No Additional Restrictions: Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license.
  • No Additional Permission Required: Users may exercise the rights granted by the license without requesting separate permission, provided they comply with its terms.

The license applies to the material covered by the license notice. Third-party content included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Users are responsible for determining whether additional permission is required for such material.
