The type of this research is research and development (Research and Development). The research model used in this study is an adaptation of the Borg and Gall (1983) model in Puslitjaknov (2008: 11) which consists of four stages of development including preliminary studies, planning and product development, expert validation and limited trials. The product produced is Ehon media which consists of 8 material chapters, in each chapter consisting of stories, questions and conversations to guide students' critical thinking skills. Data collection was carried out using interviews and questionnaires in the form of expert test questionnaires (matter expert tests, media expert tests) and product trials in order to produce good products. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the score obtained from material experts was 75 (appropriate), from media experts namely 100 (very appropriate). The score obtained from the results of the limited trial questionnaire with the teacher was 100 (very appropriate) and the results of the limited trial with students were 97% (very feasible). Thus, the developed Ehon media can be used as a learning support medium and guides students' critical thinking skills in learning Japanese in accordance with the tourism major.
2024-01-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://jurnal.stkipahsingaraja.ac.id/index.php/jpmi/article/view/653 Taboo Words Used in Jinengdalem Village Related to Tri Hita Karana: A Descriptive Qualitative Study 2024-01-27T09:00:57+07:00 Putu Reynald Ridana Pratama reynald@undiksha.ac.id I Gede Budasi gede.budasi@undiksha.ac.id Putu Adi Krisna Juniarta adi.krisna@undiksha.ac.id
This study aims to identify instances of taboo phrases used in relation to the three harmonious concepts of life which in Balinese called Tri Hita Karana. The study, conducted using a phenomenological research approach, involved seven participants enrolled in the "Teaching Campus" program at Ganesha University of Education. The primary objective was to explore the experiences of EFL pre-service teachers in utilizing ChatGPT to enhance their professional growth, particularly in the development of pedagogical innovations. The participants reported notable advancements in pedagogical innovations, encompassing enhancements in the preparation of teaching materials, generation of engaging learning ideas, implementation of diverse teaching strategies, formulation of lesson plans, and increased time efficiency. The study concludes that while ChatGPT positively impacts pedagogical creativity, its implementation requires thorough evaluation and adjustments to align with specific teaching contexts and cater to the needs of students, ensuring its effectiveness in fostering the professional growth of pre-service teachers.
2024-02-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://jurnal.stkipahsingaraja.ac.id/index.php/jpmi/article/view/670 Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension by Using Sq3r Strategy at Seventh Grade of SMPN 1 Pekutatan 2024-02-15T06:55:57+07:00 I Made Hari Primandana hari.primadana@undiksha.ac.id
This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension of descriptive text through SQ3R strategy for students of class VII E SMP N 1 Pekutatan. The subjects of this study were students of class VII E SMP N 1 Pekutatan which amounted to 24 students. The researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as a research method to identify and solve problems in students' reading comprehension. This study went through 2 cycles consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. To collect data, researchers obtained information from observations and tests conducted. The result of this study is that there is an increase in students' reading comprehension by using the SQ3R strategy. Besides, observation shows an increase in the number of students who were active and enthusiastic in learning reading comprehension of descriptive text. The test results showed that 7 or 29.17% of students passed the minimum score criteria in the pre-test, 11 or 45.83% of students passed the minimum score criteria in cycle I, and 19 or 79.17% of students passed the minimum score criteria in cycle II. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the use of Baamboozle can improve the vocabulary mastery of grade VII-A students at SMPN 1 Sukasada and to identify the factors that support and obstruct during the research. This study used grade VII-A as the subject which consisted of 31 students, with 17 boys and 14 girls. There were four meetings. The Kemmis and McTaggart methodologies were modified for use in the classroom action research approach. Tests and observation sheets were used to gather data, which were then descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively assessed. The results showed an increase in the percentage of students who had a high level of vocabulary mastery in each cycle, in the first cycle recorded 62.13% and in the second cycle recorded 81.74% and based on the observation sheets, there were obstruct factors during the research such as limited Wi-Fi or Internet access in the classroom, and students who did not want to discuss in groups. Meanwhile, the supporting factors during this research were the LCD Projector facilities that were functioning properly, making it easier for the students.
2024-02-15T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://jurnal.stkipahsingaraja.ac.id/index.php/jpmi/article/view/672 Verbal and Visual Sign in Selected Cosrx Instagram Ads 2024-02-21T20:01:11+07:00 Dewa Gede Agus Krisna Putra Wiryana dkbeat11@gmail.com Putu Desi Anggerina Hikmaharyanti putudesi812@unmas.ac.id
Abstract
The utilization of both verbal and visual elements plays an important role in ads. This study seeks to discern the verbal and visual cues and also delve into the significance of colors employed in Cosrx advertisements. The research is grounded in the observation method, a means to elicit comprehensive and nuanced insights. In terms of analytical methodology, the study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis yielded a dataset comprising 22 instances, subdivided into 8 verbal and 14 visual cues. Within advertisements, a prominent trend is the inclusion of product ingredient names, such as AHA/BHA, Retinol, and Snail. These names function as a form of verbal sign, effectively conveying key information about the products to readers. This tactic assists in enlightening consumers about the specific components featured in the products, thereby heightening their awareness and understanding. Ultimately, the research elucidates how these strategies effectively communicate product attributes and qualities to consumers, fostering a more informed engagement with the advertised products.
2024-02-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://jurnal.stkipahsingaraja.ac.id/index.php/jpmi/article/view/673 Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis Literasi Numerasi Berbantuan Android untuk Materi Pembagian Kelas IV 2024-02-24T15:09:52+07:00 Ni Made Manika Ratnasari nimademanika@gmail.com I Wayan Wiarta iwayan.wiarta@undiksha.ac.id I Wayan Sujana iwayan.sujana@undiksha.ac.id
This research aims to be motivated by the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Number 4 Darmasaba in the distribution material which is classified as unsatisfactory, students have not achieved the expected learning outcomes.
